I work from home and having 2 kids, very few times we take a bike for family outing. So there is rarely any chance that I violate traffic rules.
I often get such traffic violations and wonder if I ever violated traffic rules. Each time I just think I may have done it because normally it is few months later and so it is impossible to challenge and prove my point. I opt for paying the fine instead but this time it is different. I get a traffic violation when I was not in Kolkata and my bike was lying in my parking lot for almost a month.
Here is the traffic violation slip from Kolkata Traffic Police Department.
The violation is I was riding the bike without helmet on 28th of October 2013. The funniest part is I was not in Kolkata from 8th October to 3rd November when I visited my home town Dhoraji and was in Surat on 28th October 2013.
Here are the Indian Railway Ticket Details.
And here are few tweets I shared when I was traveling.
My last day in Dhoraji. Leaving for Surat tonight at 9 PM. Too much to do in last 12 hours.

It confirms that Kolkata Traffic Violations that I have been getting in the past are not always accurate.
