Genuine online profiles
See my profile at G4EF which is currently PR4 but it’s not only for me but even for other members like xp (as we call him) and many more which have good PR.
That is about Go4Expert.com but its not limited to only Go4Expert. See my profiles in twitter MBAGuys / G4EF / CITW / Shab or Even at LinkedIn all having decent PageRank.
Stop !!! You don’t have to start creating online profiles. Just have a genuine profile and use it. This will make your profile a decent PR over a period of time. This way you can get lots of good quality incoming links to your site. Some links may be nofollow but it hardly matters because you will anyway be making those profile(s).
Reviews and Testimonials
You can also write testimonials for programs like Aweber, Chitika or any other program that you use and they will be more than happy to publish it on their site with a link to your website. You can even review their product and product owners will be more than happy to link to their product review.
Miscellaneous
Apart from those you can also place a link in Yahoo! Answers or even Set up an account at eBay and on your “About Me” page can link to your website or add useful comments in blogs and Post free ads or classified in many forums where Admin’s and Mod’s allow it.

Excellent tips! Profiles are great for achieving high PR one-way links. Testimonials, Yahoo Answers and the others you mentioned are great too. Have been surfing the net tonight reading SEO articles and out of a TON I've read you are the first to have mentioned these great strategies (not that no one else is talking about them but they are so few and far between that literally out of hours of surfing around, yours was the first I ran across tonight).
