I did pretty much same things when I started go4expert but it was not to start with but then slowly as I realized I did them rightly.

Prithwiraj, I tried writing a post for this but I could not make it a complete post and so I thought of answering this in comment.
The credit I give for all my success is to my friends. Two of the most successful of my websites were started in Partnership with my friends and as they could not continue I took it all alone but then they were my pillars to get started at least.

Mayur, For your first question I will write a post explaining pros and cons but for second question I think I have it here. The short answer is I love to Blog and tell the world what I am doing. In fact majority of us like doing that or else Twitter (A micro blogging platform) would not have been what it is today.
One more. Why a .co domain? If you would have tried you could have found something good in .com as well
